Our Recommendations
All Trails does not have designated biking trails other than the Flat Top Mesa trail. Hiking trails listed in All Trails are not always suitable for biking. Bikers can utilize a host of sidewalks and street biking lanes to travel along the base of Flat Top Mesa to the Virgin River.
A paved trail runs along the Virgin River, east to west, and easily connects to multiple paths heading in different directions. Lower Flat Top Drive has an adjacent paved trail that travels along the base of Flat Top Mesa, past several sand carvings in the hillsides on the eastern side of the road.
Bikers can travel through old downtown past the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum, Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery, outdoor art exhibit alongside the Clark County Public Library, and the Mesquite Recreation Center.
Mesa Boulder Dash
Check out this 6-mile loop. It’s considered a strenuous route with a climbing-to-descending ratio of approximately 3/1.
The trail is very narrow towards the top with a strong recommendation to walk your bike part of the way. The trail will take you past the famous ‘V’ embedded in the side of the Mesa that overlooks the Virgin Valley. It will also take you to the top of Flat Top Mesa with a miles-long views in every direction.
